Northern France—now called Hauts-de-France—is recognised in Brussels and across Europe for its dynamic presence on the European scene. Our region borders the United Kingdom and Belgium, and enjoys an exceptional location in the heart of North-West Europe.
Hauts-de-France handles more cooperative programmes than any other region in Europe, giving us significant experience and expertise in programme management.
To support your projects at all levels, our Regional Council operates several cross-border cooperative programmes. Some are bilateral—INTERREG France (Channel) England—while others, such as INTERREG 2 Seas, are broader in scope. INTERREG North-West Europe involves seven member states.
Cooperative programmes span technological innovation, social innovation, carbon emission reduction, the circular economy and developing natural and cultural heritage.
Funding available through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the European Social Fund (ESF) is managed by the Hauts-de-France Regional Council. This supports projects in research and innovation, developing SMEs, energy transition, vocational training and combating youth unemployment.
Interested in setting up an environmental or regional European project, or a project relating to economic development or training? Looking for European partners? We have a wide range of programmes that will meet—and exceed—your expectations.
We’ll help you determine whether your project qualifies, and give you all the information you need to submit your application to the European authorities.
